What's the best way to take a photo of a baby or toddler?
1. Use natural light
: Try to take the photo in a well-lit room or outdoors during daylight hours. Avoid using a flash, which can cause shadows and red-eye.
2. Lay the baby down
: It's often easier to take a photo of a baby or toddler lying down on their back, as this allows you to get a clear, straight-on shot of their face. You can use a white sheet or blanket as a backdrop.
3. Keep the baby's eyes open
: You'll need to make sure the baby's eyes are open and looking directly at the camera. You can try making funny faces or noises to get their attention.
4. Keep the baby's head straight
: The baby's head should be facing straight ahead and not tilted to one side or the other. You can use your hand to gently support their head if needed.
5. Use the correct size
: Make sure to check the requirements for passport photo size for your country. In general, the photo should be 2 x 2 inches or 5 x 5 cm, with the baby's head taking up 50-70% of the frame.
6. Take multiple photos
: It's always a good idea to take multiple photos to ensure that you have at least one good shot. You can also try taking photos at different times of day to see if the lighting makes a difference
